Who we are
In the heart of Brooksville, nestled among rolling hills and ancient oak trees, a small group of believers gathered in a modest living room. It was 1995, and Pastor Chris Mundell, along with his family, felt a calling to plant a church that would become a beacon of hope and faith in their community. They named their humble gathering Emmanuel Baptist Church, symbolizing "God with us."
The early days were marked by simple yet profound acts of faith. The congregation, though small, was united in purpose. They found a vacant church building, and the early founders worked tirelessly to purchase and transform it into the place of worship it is today.
Over the years, the church has evolved, reflecting the area's mining heritage by adopting the name The Rock Church. As a non-denominational church, all are welcome to worship with us.
At our church, we are committed to embracing grace and extending love to everyone in our community. With a foundation rooted in the Bible, we strive to create a welcoming environment where individuals can experience the transformative power of God’s love and salvation.
Through our Bible studies, Sunday services, and children's programs, we aim to share the message of hope and compassion with people from all walks of life. Whether it's through prayer for those in need or a hospital visit, our mission is centered around uplifting and empowering individuals.
We believe that each person who joins our congregation is a part of the body we have been missing. You are just what we need. God has ga reat purpose for you and with Him, nothing is wasted. Every grief, hurt, childhood trauma, failure, and success, can be used to glorify God. We cannot wait to see what He can do. There is always a purpose for pain!
